Our Lenten theme, “Everything In Between,” invites us to navigate the polarities in our lives with more faith, intention, and openness to be transformed. Each weekly sub-theme explores two supposed binaries, like “faith & works” or “rest & growth,” or “grief & hope.” We often consider these ideas to be opposing. However, as we explore these concepts within the scriptures, we find nuance and complexity. We find that these dichotomies are false. We might begin to see a full spectrum instead of black and white. We might find that God is present in between.
And so, this season, we invite you to look beyond black and white binaries and easy answers. We encourage you to take in the art, poetry, and reflections, imagining where God might be meeting us beyond the categories we create. This Lent, we're trusting that God shows up in shades of gray, rainbow hues, and everywhere in between.
Along with weekly worship service, we will provide Devotional Booklet and Daily Devotional Cards for your own reflection.
Join us this Lent, and invite a loved one to worship with you!
Join us for our Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m. as we begin the Lenten season together. This evening marks the start of a journey of reflection, renewal, and transformation. Through scripture, prayer, and the imposition of ashes, we’ll enter into the season with open hearts, ready to explore what lies "in between." We hope you can be part of this meaningful service as we set our intentions for the weeks ahead.
The space between Palm Sunday and Easter is worth lingering in, now more than ever. As divisions deepen in our world, Holy Week challenges the boundaries that separate humanity—powerful and powerless, enemy and friend, innocent and guilty.
April 13 – Palm Sunday
10:00 a.m. - More information coming soon.
April 17 – Maundy Thursday
7:30 p.m. - This is a service of confession, lament, and repentance. As violence remains the favored tool of many nations, we remember the injustice of punitive ‘justice’ that unfolded two thousand years ago. This service invites us to reflect and respond to the pain and grief of our lives and our world through Communion, meditative Taizé songs, imaginative monologues, and prayer.
April 18 – Good Friday
7:30 p.m. - "A Service of Tenebrae" or "Darkness” - This service will be based on a twelfth-century late night service and is an extended meditation on the passion of Christ (Book of Worship). On this somber night, there will be the musical offerings of the Chancel Choir.
April 20 – Easter Sunday
8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. - Pancake Breakfast
10:00 a.m. - Worship: Celebrate the joy of Christ’s resurrection with us! Our Easter worship will feature a triumphant trumpet duo and powerful anthems from the Chancel Choir, lifting our hearts in praise on this glorious day.
11:00 a.m. - Easter Egg Hunt (All Ages!)
Everyone is invited to share in our Easter Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 20 at 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The breakfast will be provided by the Chancel Choir, Praise Band, United Methodist Women, Men’s Group, Youth Group, and Sunday School Children.
The menu will consist of pancakes, sausages, pastries, fruit salad, juices, and coffee.
Everyone is invited to share a meal and fellowship on the glorious Easter morning followed by worship at 10:00 a.m.
All ages are invited for an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 20 after the 10:00 a.m. worship. Rain or shine - it will be held on the front lawn of the church beginning at the outside door by the Preschool Room. Bring your Easter baskets or Easter bags will be available for the collected eggs.
Individually wrapped pieces of candy or trinkets small enough to fit into plastic Easter eggs are needed for this event. If you would like to donate, please leave your bags of candy in the church office by Wednesday, April 16 so the youth have time to fill the eggs! No hard candy or lollipops please! Thank you for your generosity to make Easter morning extra special for all.
